You can actually find items scattered around your place that you may use to handle the problem, and these are some tips to help you along. I have used everybody of these over numerous years too treat my dogs. And the nice thing is I’m still using them today to treat my ‘best friend’ Princess when she has bug bites and stings.
The first tip will surely surprise you:
Meat Tenderizer. Yep! You heard me in the right way. All you have to do is pour the meat tenderizer into the bowl and then add water. Once it has thickened into a paste simply use it directly to the sting or bite. Your dog will enjoy relief straight away. The best thing is you won’t have to stress about it injuring your pet so you can reapply it whenever needed.
2nd Tip:: chances are this one is going to scare you, but again it works. Try dabbing ammonia immediately to the bite or sting with a cotton ball. However confirm not to apply round the nose and eyes of your ‘Fido’. Also if your animal has extra delicate skin it’s a good idea not so use it to smooth bug bites and stings.
The 3rd tip I have for you is absolutely one of my faves, too smooth bug bites and stings and I need to tell you Princess loves it. Whenever I’ll put my hands on aloe vera leaves, I use aloe vera gel. Except for a backup I keep an aloa vera gel that I get from my local drug store. Again, it’s simply a matter of putting gel on the bite. you’ll get instantaneous results. It’s used by me on myself, too, for wasp stings and mosquito bites.
Now this tip is one that may reduce the swelling and itching right away. However, it may require some patience on your side and on your dogs ( any pet ) part. If it’s’s a sting, search the area where your dog is biting and scratching. It’s likely that the stinger may still be there. After you find it and remove it then you can apply some healing gel or perhaps bathe it with a cold fabric.
And in the subject of cold cloth, here’s my last tip. Wrap several pieces of ice in a wash material, and use it on the bite or sting. Just like you, your animal will find it will smooth bug bites and stings.
If your asking if these tips are safe for your dog when your trying to relieve the discomfort and itching, check with your local vet. Or you can perform a search on the web and find where they are completely safe. These smooth bug bites and stings tips are not the sole ones out there. It’ll be a smart idea to find others, too.
